FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Our beautiful building carries centuries of history within its walls. While no one knows the exact date it was built, the original roof timbers suggest it has stood proudly in Oulton for well over 300 years. In its earliest days, it served as a bustling brew house, complete with stables for horses, before gradually evolving through generations of extensions and alterations. Today, those historic features blend seamlessly with modern comforts, offering guests a unique setting where tradition and community spirit are very much alive.
TRADITIONAL VILLAGE PUB
Situated in the picturesque village of Oulton, between Leeds and Wakefield, The New Masons Arms exudes all the character of a traditional Yorkshire ale house and village inn.
Today, we're proud to offer a blend of classic pub comforts and modern hospitality. Our bar is stocked with carefully kept cask ales, fine wines and a wide choice of beers and spirits, while our kitchen serves hearty, home-cooked food made with quality ingredients. Whether you're here for a quiet pint by the fire, a family meal, or to celebrate with friends, you'll find the New Masons Arms a true home-from-home — a place where history, tradition and community come together.
